Classic Jupyter Notebook extensions do not automatically work in JupyterLab. This means that many excellent and useful notebook extensions do not work in JupyterLab. For some people, this is an impediment to using JupyterLab over the classic notebook.
We will explore the differences between classic Jupyter notebook extensions and JupyterLab extensions. Then, using a practical example, we will present step-by-step guidelines for migrating classic notebook extensions to JupyterLab.
