Tanya Rai

Tanya Rai is the Product Manager for Bento, Facebook’s internal Jupyter notebook platform. She is passionate about bringing simplicity, diverse perspectives, and responsible data use to data science & machine learning infrastructure at Facebook. Previously, Tanya was a data engineer on Instagram’s Well-being team which focuses on creating a safe and supportive community on Instagram. Her experiences working on some of Instagram’s toughest problems like account safety and fake engagement detection drive how she hopes to evolve data and ML tools at Facebook.

Tanya has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from UC Berkeley and enjoys the outdoors, basketball, and hanging out with friends. You can follow her on Instagram @tanyahaii.
